In November 2006 Jared was asked to write the closing song for Michael Akers’ new film Phoenix. The song, “Back to One”, will soon be available on I-Tunes. Jared had previously worked with Akers on Gone But Not Forgotten, which featured Jared’s song “Staring Straight Into the Sun”.

Jared's new CD, "So Many Miles", Now Available!

Stickman Music is proud to announce the release of Jared Young's latest 12-song CD So Many Miles which is available for purchase through iTunes.com and CDBaby.com (ordering info).  The album was recorded in Califorsomanymiles_cd.jpgnia and Arkansas and mixed by Ronan Chris Murphy (King Crimson, Tony Levin) at Veneto West Studios in Los Angeles.  To choose the songs for the record, Jared teamed up with music consultant Liz Redwing, a veteran of Interscope Publishing and Atlantic Records.  So Many Miles recalls the passion and energy of Tom Petty, Sheryl Crow, and Bruce Springsteen, showcasing the organic feel that Jared's live shows have always been known for.   Co-produced by keyboardist Rick Scott, the album also features Peter Lobo on drums, Bruce Lawrence on guitar, and Tom Bertram on bass.
